Kelley Drye Welcomes Andrea L. Calvaruso as Partner and Chair of Trademark and Copyright Practice Group

Kelley Drye & Warren LLP is pleased to announce that Andrea L. Calvaruso has joined Kelley Drye & Warren LLP as a partner in the firm’s New York City office and chairs the firm’s Trademark and Copyright practice group. Previously, Ms. Calvaruso was a named partner at a well-respected intellectual property boutique firm where she represented clients in the consumer products, fashion and other industries. She returns to Kelley Drye, where she was a litigation associate from 1996 to 2000.

With a practice encompassing trademark, trade dress, unfair competition and copyright law, Ms. Calvaruso supervises litigation and proceedings worldwide, including representing clients in the U.S. Federal District Court and inter partes proceedings before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and ICANN Domain Dispute proceedings.

In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Calvaruso regularly negotiates and drafts intellectual property-related agreements and counsels clients in matters involving the evaluation of ownership interests, licensing issues, promotion and enforcement of property rights, trademark search evaluations, U.S. copyright filings, and domestic and international trademark filings.

Ms. Calvaruso graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University College of Law in 1996, where she was the associate notes and comments editor of the Syracuse Law Review and a teaching assistant in the Legal Research and Writing Program. She is admitted to practice in New York State as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Ms. Calvaruso is a member of the NYC Bar Association Copyright Committee, the U.S. Copyright Society and the International Trademark Association.
