Kelley Drye obtained an award of over $17 million in a commercial arbitration for one of the Firm’s competitive telecom carrier clients in a dispute with one of the regional Bell telephone companies. The Kelley Drye team was able to prove that the Bell company utilized the facilities of its smaller competitor without paying reasonable compensation. Despite that there were many potentially dispositive issues, Kelley Drye was able to obtain an award of 100 percent of the damages requested, plus post-hearing interest at a rate of 18 percent.Kelley Drye
