Hutnik was quoted in the Bloomberg BNA article ​“Broad Consumer Privacy Bills Expected to Face Uphill Battle.” The article examines how passing consumer privacy regulation may be difficult with the incoming Republican-controlled Congress. Ms. Hutnik states that, ​“There are just too many committees that have jurisdiction, which makes it difficult.” The article also notes that some regulatory agencies, such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), are possibly interested in doing more on consumer privacy. ​“We may see the CFPB make more of a mark in this area in 2015,” Ms. Hutnik said.
