Associate W. Joseph Price was quoted in The Washington Post article, "Federal Antitrust Guidelines Revised." It explained how the Justice Department and Federal Trade Commission revised the way the government will evaluate antitrust considerations in mergers of companies of equal size.
Mr. Price noted the government will move away from market definition evaluations and towards a more fact specific approach that evaluates the competitive effects of the proposed merger. "Price said it's also 'fair to say there's a loosening' in how the agencies will apply the market concentration thresholds.'"
