Partner Steven A. Augustino Quoted in The Wall Street Journal on AT&T Purchase of Wireless Licenses

June 17, 2010

The Wall Street Journal article, "After Delay, AT&T Deal Nears Approval" reported on the telecom company's efforts to secure FCC approval for a $2.35 billion purchase of wireless rural licenses from Verizon Wireless. The sale was mandated in 2008, when Verizon received approval for its $28.1 billion purchase of Alltel. The article noted, "'These types of mergers, particularly big one like that, take a year or more,' said Steven Augustino, a telecom partner at Washington law firm Kelley Drye who has represented smaller phone companies."
