  About the Office
Since its establishment in 1989, Kelley Drye’s Brussels office has assisted its clients around the world in a wide variety of international legal matters, involving areas such as banking, telecommunications, mergers and acquisitions, technology and project finance. The office further advises the firm’s clients on all aspects of the European Union’s laws, as they may impact upon the clients’ business operations, including under the EU antitrust laws.

In recent years, the office has developed a specialty in advising the firm’s international clients on their obligations under the European Union’s export control regimes and other emerging EU regulatory programs, such as “REACH.” The office cooperates in that regard closely with the firm’s other offices, and can therefore provide comprehensive regulatory legal advice to clients from a U.S. and a European perspective.

The Brussels office is headed by an attorney who received legal training in Europe and in the United States, and who is qualified to assist the firm’s clients before the European courts and institutions. The European practice of the Brussels office is fully integrated with the firm’s international practice groups, and the office can therefore effectively assist in handling the European aspects of any legal matter, wherever it arises, particularly in connection with international arbitration, litigation and mergers and acquisitions.
