  About the Office
New York City is Kelley Drye’s birthplace. Our founders began representing clients in 1836 from a single office space in lower Manhattan. Today, our Midtown office is the hub of a practice nearly 200 lawyers strong, encompassing the New York tri-state area.

Lawyers in our New York office are recognized for representing clients in high-stakes class action cases and other litigation and for executing securities transactions, mergers and acquisitions deals, and other corporate matters. They work closely with our legal teams in other Kelley Drye offices in the U.S. and abroad to advance and protect client interests in a wide range of legal areas, including intellectual property, bankruptcy, labor and employment, real estate, and white-collar crime, as well as serving the unique needs of financial institutions.

Kelley Drye’s attorneys in New York carry on the firm’s enduring commitment to community engagement. Many serve as leaders in professional groups, and advise the boards of major associations. They also dedicate themselves to serving New York’s philanthropic communities, both as lawyers and as citizens committed to making a difference.
