On August 25th and 26th, Kelley Drye partner Stephen A. Wood joins other distinguished members of the Food and Drug bar to provide a comprehensive update of FDA law and regulation, including the impact of recent health care reform legislation and emerging precedents, notably Riegel v. Medtronic and Wyeth v. Levine.
In his session, “Preemption Fundamentals,” Mr. Wood will discuss how the doctrine of preemption has been applied on behalf of drug and device manufacturers and the prospects for using the defense in light of recent case law.
