Seeking Value Through Formal Requests for Proposals: Ensuring that RFPs are Carried Out Well for Maximum Management of Outside Legal Costs

American Conference Institute’s Fourth Annual National Forum - "Reducing Legal Costs"

Partner Michael E. Rigney will participate in American Conference Institute’s fourth annual national forum titled “Reducing Legal Costs.” The program will take place on March 25-26, 2010, in Dallas, Texas. It will feature a leading faculty of in-house and outside counsel, with representatives from companies such as Cargill, Exxon Mobil, and UBS Investment Bank, as well as private practice attorneys and vendors. This cross-industry forum will guide those in attendance in successfully employing cost-reducing procedures.

Mr. Rigney will participate in a panel titled “Seeking Value Through Formal Requests for Proposals: Ensuring that RFPs are Carried Out Well for Maximum Management of Outside Legal Costs.” The panel will focus on the successful use of RFPs and will address topics such as selection criteria, the RFP structure, data identification and the scope of a deal. Mr. Rigney recently co-authored a chapter in Thomson West's Successful Partnering Between Inside and Outside Counsel on the RFP process.

CLE credit will be available in some states.
