It’s 9 AM, Do You Know Where Your Employees Are? How to Manage a Remote Workforce

Kelley Drye Webinar

June 7, 2016 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm (EDT)

Kelley Drye’s Communications and Labor and Employment practice groups present their latest in a series of webinars on labor issues affecting communications and technology companies.

As workforces become increasingly mobile, and the line between personal time and work time blurs further, employers face the challenge of balancing data security with employee privacy rights. While breaches of customer data have received most of the media scrutiny, employee data breaches are also causing headaches for companies. There remain increasing pressures on employers to gather and utilize employee data through the monitoring of employee communications to measure productivity, maintain corporate image, and to deter or prevent wrongdoing.

This webinar presentation will discuss the laws, regulations and strategies employers should be aware of when managing a remote workforce, including data and other information security, confidentiality, wage and hour concerns, workers’ compensation/liability issues, and posting requirements.
