Steve Freeland is an associate in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. His practice focuses on complex litigation matters.

Mr. Freeland has served as litigation counsel to major consumer product and service companies; companies in the telecommunications sector; and industrial companies in antitrust, intellectual property, false advertising, breach of contract, business tort, insurance recovery, and consumer class action litigation. He has appeared in both federal and state trial courts across the country.

Prior to becoming an associate, Mr. Freeland served as a law clerk and legal assistant in the firm's litigation section managing several litigation and appellate matters.

Telarix, Inc. v. Vero Systems, Inc. (E.D. Va.)
Co-lead trial counsel for Telarix, Inc. in patent infringement action involving optimal call routing technology.

Co-lead trial counsel for a world renowned German optics company in a declaratory judgment action involving validity of license and distribution agreements relating to rifle scopes and reticles. Obtained favorable resolution.

Three Rivers Pharmaceuticals, LLC v. Zydus Pharmaceuticals (USA) Inc. (E.D. Va.)
Co-lead trial counsel for Zydus in patent infringement action related to process used to manufacture an anti-viral drug.

Nano-Proprietary, Inc. v. Canon, Inc. (W.D. Tex.)
Member of trial team that prosecuted claims for declaratory judgment and breach of patent license in connection with flat panel display utilizing electron field emission display patents.

Nano-Proprietary, Inc. v. Keesmann, et al. (N.D. Ill.)
Member of litigation team that obtained a TRO and preliminary injunction enjoining termination of patent license agreement involving carbon nanotube cathodes.
