Sherrie Schiavetti is an associate in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Her practice includes litigation and counseling on advertising law and consumer protection matters.
Ms. Schiavetti represents clients in false and deceptive advertising litigation in federal court and before the National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus. She has defended clients in advertising substantiation investigations initiated by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and in product safety investigations conducted by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Ms. Schiavetti also counsels clients in regulatory compliance with consumer protection laws enforced by the FTC, the CPSC, and state Attorneys General.
Prior to joining Kelley Drye, Ms. Schiavetti represented indigent capital defendants as a fellowship attorney with the Office of the Georgia Capital Defender and participated as third chair in two murder trials. Following law school, Ms. Schiavetti clerked for the Honorable Lawrence M. Baskir of the United States Court of Federal Claims. Ms. Schiavetti was an Associate Editor of the George Mason Law Review, President of the George Mason American Inn of Court, and a writing fellow.
