Mindy Pava is an associate in the firm’s Washington D.C. office. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, commercial litigation, antitrust litigation, and class action lawsuits. Ms. Pava has also represented clients involved in a variety of animal law-related issues and disputes, including Freedom of Information Act requests made by animal rights groups. 

Before joining Kelley Drye, Ms. Pava worked for a D.C. litigation firm, concentrating in antitrust, consumer protection, and mass tort class action lawsuits. Her experience includes acting as counsel to corporate clients in federal antitrust price-fixing cases, representing farmers facing import bans as a result of unapproved genetically-modified crops, and advising former athletes who experienced head injuries while participating in contact sports.

Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Pava served as a law clerk for the Hon. Lawrence P. Fletcher-Hill in the Circuit Court of Baltimore City. While in law school, Ms. Pava spent a semester as a legal intern at The Coca-Cola Company, where she assisted attorneys with employment law disputes. She also interned with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, where she assisted in evaluating the anticompetitive effects of potential mergers. Before attending law school, Ms. Pava worked as a newspaper reporter, where she reported on education at the local and statewide level.

Representative Experience

Represented domestic polyurethane foam purchasers in antitrust price-fixing class action alleging that polyurethane foam manufacturers conspired to artificially inflate the price of the product.

Represented Pacific Northwest soft white wheat farmers in a class action involving negligence claims related to the discovery of unapproved genetically-modified wheat in Oregon.

Advised former National Football League (NFL) players and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) football players about proposed settlements relating to concussions and head injuries.

Represented a class of New Jersey taxpayers who became delinquent on their real property tax obligations and faced potential foreclosure in an alleged bid-rigging conspiracy.

Assisted a law firm in Capetown, South Africa in bringing groundbreaking class action litigation on behalf of bread consumers in the Western Cape province.
