Michele Hallowell is an associate in the firm's Washington, D.C. office.  Her practice focuses on complex fisheries and environmental issues.  She draws upon her science background to facilitate sound regulatory strategies.

During law school Ms. Hallowell interned for the Honorable Kermit Lipez of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and served as a clerk for the Honorable Joseph H. Field of the State of Maine District Court in West Bath. Prior to law school Ms. Hallowell served as a research assistant for the Boston College Department of Geology for geochemistry and geomorphology relating to ocean and riverbed composition. She also worked for Yale University's Department of Therapeutic Radiology as a Bristol-Myers Squibb Research Intern where she helped develop alternative cancer screening methods.

Prior to joining Kelley Drye, Ms. Hallowell worked as in-house counsel for the Maine Lobstermen's Association where she spearheaded complex regulatory issues at the state and federal level, including the New England Fisheries Management Council and the State of Maine Legislature.
