Ms. Hardon works with clients to define public policy strategies that support business objectives, building corporate/organization public profiles through education and advocacy, developing relationships with policymakers, translating complex business technology issues into policy objectives and developing industry coalitions to advocate common interests.
An active member of the technology business policy community in Washington, Ms. Hardon has experience in a wide range of issues including identity management, privacy and security, energy efficiency, smart grid, health information technology and telecommunications.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Hardon was the Washington, D.C. senior policy director for Infineon Technologies and its spin-off organization, Qimonda, two German headquartered companies with significant business operations in the United States. Ms. Hardon was responsible for establishing their government relations presence in the United States and identifying, tracking and managing public affairs issues in coordination with senior management domestically and abroad.
Ms. Hardon also served as senior vice president of JTI, Inc., where she developed market entry strategies for European technology companies establishing a U.S. presence. Specifically, Ms. Hardon's responsibilities included the design and implementation of marketing and public affairs plans for private and public sector clients.
In 1996, Ms. Hardon founded and managed New Markets International, Inc., a business development and consulting firm that specialized in identifying and developing business opportunities in trade and investment in European, South American, African and Asian markets for private and public sector clients. Ms. Hardon also worked as senior vice president of the IAS Group, Ltd., an international trade consulting group, where she developed trade and investment deals between Central European and American companies.
