Lisa Harris is an associate in the firm's New York office. She focuses her practice on labor and employment. She represents management in a wide variety of workplace disputes, including the defense of age, race, sex, disability and national origin claims. She also provides counseling on collective bargaining agreements, wage and hour laws, restrictive covenants, reductions-in-force, internal investigations and employment policies.
Ms. Harris has experience responding to charges and complaints of discrimination filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and state agencies in New York, Michigan and Utah.
Representative Experience
Represented retail company in resolution conference before Utah Labor Commission Mediator Bel J. Randall.
Assisted with the representation of a retail company in response to investigations of alleged overtime violations by the U.S. and New York Departments of Labor.
Assisted with the representation of a financial institution in defense of alleged Title VII claims by a former employee.
Conducted outside investigation into allegations of sexual harassment and race discrimination at a retail store.
Pro Bono
Assisted with the representation of a Russian citizen of Crimean Tatar ethnicity in his request for asylum in the United States. Defended client in a hearing before Immigration Judge Philip L. Morace, which resulted in the granting of the client's application for asylum.
