Joanna Baden-Mayer is an associate in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Her practice focuses on civil litigation with a focus on consumer class action defense, consumer financial services, and government contract bid protest litigation.

Prior to joining Kelley Drye, Ms. Baden-Mayer worked as a law clerk for the Missouri State Public Defender in St. Louis County and as a law clerk for the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary.

Obtained denial of motion for class certification in putative class action against Time Inc. subsidiary challenging cancellation fulfillment policies and practices (pending).

Jackson v. SprintNextel Corporation (N.D. Ill. 2006)
Obtained dismissal of a putative class action suit alleging violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) in connection with prescreened marketing offers.

Weinman v. The Children’s Place Retail Stores, Inc. (E.D.N.Y. 2006)
Obtained dismissal of a putative class action challenging coupon redemption policies.

Nano-Proprietary Inc. v. Keesmann, et al. (N.D. Ill. 2006)
Assisted in obtaining TRO and preliminary injunction enjoining termination of patent license relating to carbon nanotube cathodes.
