Steven Moore is a partner in the firm's Stamford office. He focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation, including patent, trademark, and copyright; patent and trademark preparation and prosecution; intellectual property counseling and due diligence; and the rendering of intellectual property opinions.
Mr. Moore concentrates in chemistry, biotechnology and pharmaceutical patent law. He has particular experience in the chemical and biochemical arena, having represented numerous major chemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, and research universities. |

Representative Experience:
Tafas v. USPTO and Jon Dudas, Civil Action No. 1:07cv846 (E.D. VA)
Chief lead litigation counsel and architect of case against the USPTO on behalf of his client, Dr. Triantafyllos Tafas, in Tafas v. USPTO and Jon Dudas. Represented plaintiff in a patent dispute relating to new USPTO regulations limiting the number of patent claims and continuations in a patent application. Successfully obtained summary judgment permanently enjoining and invalidating the USPTO rules. Argued case in front of Federal Circuit. Mr. Moore was interviewed twice by Intellectual Property LAWCAST regarding Tafas v. USPTO April 2008 interview and September 2007 interview.
