Representative Experience:
Assisted in the representation of a national clothing retailer in insurance litigation to recover its business interruption loss resulting from the September 11th attack on the World Trade Center.
Assisted in obtaining a significant victory in the Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First Department in favor of a major banking client in a case involving a letter of credit dispute between an Indian Bank and a Japanese corporation. The successful appeal clarified an important tenet of law involving forum non conveniens analysis and overturned the New York Supreme Court's decision, which denied the client’s motion to dismiss on those grounds.
Assisted in the representation of a national retail and clothing company in achieving a partial summary judgment dismissing several breach of contract claims against the client in a lawsuit seeking $1 billion in damages.
Participated in six week trial for claims of fraud, unfair competition and breach of contract which resulted in a multimillion dollar verdict for the client.
Member of the litigation team that defended a major financial institution in an NASD arbitration.
Assisted in the representation of an internationally famous singer in a lawsuit against eight international insurance companies to recover damages for their refusal to pay for losses sustained as a result of cancellation of her tour. |
