Representative Experience:
Mr. Yorkgitis represents a wide range of service providers, including competitive local exchange carriers (CLECs) and emerging providers of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and other enhanced services, in all aspects related to state and federal communications laws, including negotiations, arbitration, and enforcement of interconnection agreements and service contracts, development of FCC and state implementing regulations, regulatory compliance, agency and private adjudications, and regulatory matters related to mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions in today's fast changing environment. He represents a number of carriers and other utilities in matters related to pole attachments, conduit occupancy rights, local franchises and public rights-of-way in numerous municipalities around the United States.
He also represents wireless carriers on issues related to interconnection, FCC licensing, foreign ownership, spectrum allocation, management of stations, and adherence to operational and technical regulations. Mr. Yorkgitis has represented satellite carriers and their customers in negotiating transponder, capacity and other commercial arrangements, as well as complying with all facets of federal regulation. Currently, Mr. Yorkgitis acts as global coordinating regulatory counsel for a major U.S. contractor charged with implementing the world-wide ground segment of a next-generation polar-orbiting weather and environmental satellite system, coordinating the supporting work of a dozen firms located around the world. |
