Bud Holman is a partner in the firm's New York office. He served as the firm's managing partner for eight years and was a member of the Executive Committee for 21 years.

Mr. Holman practices in the litigation area with a focus on alternative dispute resolution and hedge fund representation. He currently acts as general counsel for a $1 billion hedge fund.

Mr. Holman was law secretary to the Honorable Stanley H. Fuld, New York Court of Appeals, from 1956-1958. He is a retired captain with the U.S. Naval Reserve.
 
Representative Experience:
Had major litigation responsibility in the landmark class action cases of Eisen v. Carlyle & Jacquelin and U.S. v. Grinnell.

Centrally involved in complex national class action product liability, fraud, securities, insider trading, and mass tort cases including the Equity Funding, Vesco, Banco Ambrosiano, Agent Orange, Asbestos, Bhopal, L-Tryptophan, Propane, Ephedrine, Pipeline Explosion and Forced Labor litigations. Advisor to Class Action Trustees in Dalkon Shield cases. Member of the Class Action Committee to Administer the Central Station Protection Litigation Settlement Fund.

Represented both plaintiffs and defendants in individual and class action civil antitrust litigation for over 30 years throughout the country. Acted for targets and witnesses in many antitrust criminal investigations without ever having a client indicted.

Commentator in class action antitrust and product liability trials for Court TV.

Representing European, Japanese, Korean, Indian, South American and Caribbean clients.

Defended and resolved sex, race, religious, age, sexual preference discrimination and intentional infliction of emotional harm claims.

Handled a wide variety of product liability and antitrust claims, including chemicals, insurance, machine and hand tools, vitamins, food supplements, hot water heater controls, packaging, electrical equipment, automotive, musical instruments and serious burn cases.

Involved in significant environmental litigation, including water and air pollution class actions.

Represented policyholders regarding insurance coverage.

Represented plaintiffs and defendants in construction disputes.

Defended qui tam and tortious interference with contract actions.

Acted as counsel for parties appearing before U.S. Independent Counsel grand juries.

Acted as expert witness in federal court on attorneys' fees.
