Part of team that is defending pharmaceutical manufacturers in a case alleging Medicaid fraud in an action brought by the Attorney General of Texas. Assisting in developing litigation strategy and managing and executing all aspects of motion practice, deposition preparation and document discovery.Lead associate in defending a multinational contact lens manufacturer and distributor in a fraud and breach of contract action. Obtained summary judgment dismissal of all claims against client. Assisted in developing litigation strategy and managing and executing all aspects of motion practice, deposition preparation and document discovery.
Part of team that defended a major banking institution against claims by noteholders of a bankrupt healthcare company in a multi-billion dollar, multi-district federal litigation. Noteholders alleged numerous breaches against client for its role as indenture trustee. Supervised and executed all aspects of deposition preparation and document discovery for one of the multi-district litigations.
Part of jury trial team in complex commercial litigation involving a dispute arising out of the creation of the first pay cable television channel in India. Participated in all phases of discovery and trial.
Part of the team that prosecuted claims for approximately $1.2 billion on behalf of JPMorgan Chase against 11 insurance companies over surety bonds written in connection with transactions that the bank entered into with Enron Corp. A favorable settlement was achieved after closing arguments following a month-long trial.
